So let’s take a look at the best places to party in this comprehensive NYC nightlife review.
BargeMusic
If you’re looking for a little romance in the Big Apple, the place to be is BargeMusic on the East River in Brooklyn. This cool concert hall is tucked under the Brooklyn Bridge, floating on a barge on the water. The interior showcases a handsome wood paneling, and the skyline is a wonderful backdrop.
This venue hosts some of the best classical music groups around, so the dress code is formal while the “fun” code is out of this world.

They serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week and you can even book a private party.

The Levee
The Levee in Brooklyn has been quickly growing in popularity, becoming one of the go-to dive bars in the area. They offer cheap drinks, a relaxing atmosphere, and good old-fashioned board games. And they’re very dog-friendly, so no need for a dog sitter if you want to have a great time.
PHD at Dream Downtown
This venue is well frequented by celebrities, entrepreneurs, and other young professionals in NYC. PHD at Dream Downtown comes from the minds of the TAO founders and the place is decked out with black marble, strobe lights, and mirrors. It channels that classic 80s clubby feeling. It has plenty of table seating and always an active dance floor.
It also has a deck on the left side of the club with a good amount of plants, accenting the beautiful view of the city.
So if you want to have a crazy time drinking and dancing disco, PHD is your jam.
