At The Dermatology and Laser Group, all cosmetic consultations are conducted directly with board-certified dermatologist Arash Akhavan, MD, FAAD. During your consultation, Dr. Akhavan will carefully evaluate your aesthetic goals and design a personalized treatment plan focused on achieving safe, effective, and natural-looking results. We pride ourselves on maintaining a transparent and straightforward pricing structure for all procedures. *Please Note: The cost of a consultation is $250, which must be paid at the time of booking. This fee is fully applicable toward any device or injectable procedure costing $600 or more, provided the procedure is completed within 6 months of your consultation. Cosmetic consultations are complimentary for returning patients who have been seen in our office within the last three years.
MEDICAL DERMATOLOGY
At The Dermatology and Laser Group, we offer upfront, transparent, and affordable pricing for all medical dermatology services. To eliminate the risk of surprise bills from co-insurance or deductibles—an increasingly common issue in dermatology—we have chosen not to participate in commercial insurance plans. Our pricing is straightforward: initial visits for new patients are $250, and follow-up visits are just $150. If you have medical insurance, labs, tests, and prescriptions will still be covered by your insurance as usual—keeping things simple and stress-free. Many minor procedures, such as cortisone injections or simple skin scrapings, are included in the visit cost. For other procedures, a small additional fee may apply.
Our medical dermatology services are specifically focused on skin cancer screening and management, the treatment of acne and rosacea, and the removal of moles and other skin lesions. By limiting our practice to these areas, we ensure the highest level of expertise in New York City. We are confident that our practice is the best choice for the specialized care and procedures we provide.
