What is Acne?

Pores become clogged with oil (sebum) and dead skin cells, leading to the formation of pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and sometimes more severe lesions like cysts and nodules. Types of Acne

- Nodules: Nodules are large, solid, painful lumps beneath the surface of the skin. Unlike papules and pustules, nodules are deeper and can cause significant scarring
- Cysts: Cysts are the most severe form of acne, characterized by large, pus-filled lumps beneath the skin. They are painful and can lead to permanent scarring.
Potential Causes and Triggers of Acne
