The Dermatology and Laser Group is led by our founder and Board-Certified Dermatologist, Arash Akhavan, MD, FAAD. In addition to cosmetic dermatology, our office specializes in screening for and managing skin cancer, cosmetic mole removal, and the treatment of acne and rosacea.

Our office specializes in laser cosmetic mole removal and surgical mole removal. Moles are removed both for atypia and for purely cosmetic reasons. Dr. Arash Akhavan specializes in mole removal on all parts of the body.

At The Dermatology and Laser Group we specialize in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Arash Akhavan received specialized training in digital dermatoscopy to aid in detecting potential skin cancers earlier and to aid in the monitoring of changes in moles over time.

Rosacea treatment is typically very different than standard acne treatment and requires a lifelong commitment to proper skincare use, regular use of medications, and IPL photofacials. Some patients can also control the signs and symptoms of rosacea with lifestyle modifications that avoid their rosacea triggers.
