All Daxxify injections are performed by a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Arash Akhavan. Board-certified dermatologists and plastic surgeons are, of course, typically the most experienced and expert physicians for cosmetic procedures.

Daxxify Treatment Areas

Daxxify is FDA approved for the treatment of frown lines between the eyebrows, also called the glabellar lines.  But we also use Daxxify off-label in all the areas we use Botox including:

  • Frown Lines - also called glabella lines (between the eyebrows).
  • Forehead Wrinkles
  • Crow's Feet: fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes
  • Platysma Bands:  vertical lines on neck
  • Masseter Muscle: (TMJ treatment)
  • Trapezius
  • Other areas (anywhere where relaxing muscles can lead to cosmetic improvements)

 

Daxxify Injection Procedure

Daxxify is the newest neuromodulator injection and has quickly become a favorite of our patients. Daxxify starts working sooner and lasts longer than Botox and other neuromodulator medications.

Steps Involved in Daxxify Treatment:

  1. Dr. Arash Akhavan will do a thorough consultation with you and you will decide together where you can benefit from Daxxify injections.
  2. We will assess and mark your muscles carefully and plan out the injections, making sure that the treatment leaves you with very natural looking results. That is our specialty and what we are most known for!
  3. The proper amount of Daxxify will be injected into very specific locations in the treatment areas.
  4. You will be instructed to avoid laying on the areas and putting any pressure on the areas for 4 hours. We recommend avoiding exercise until the following morning.
  5. You will first start to see some effects within 2-3 days with full effect by 2 weeks after treatment. At 2 weeks you can come in for a complimentary touch-up procedure if needed.
