Hyperdilute Radiesse: A great option for both Face and Body

Radiesse is a dermal filler that Dr. Akhavan has been using for over a decade.  It is FDA cleared for use to plump up wrinkles and folds on the face, as well as to correct volume loss in the back of the hands. It is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), which is a naturally occurring substance.

Radiesse works by two mechanisms:

• It immediately adds volume to the skin, which can help to smooth out wrinkles and folds.
• It also stimulates the production of collagen, which is a protein that gives the skin its strength and elasticity. As collagen production increases, the skin becomes smoother, tighter, and more youthful-looking.

The results of Radiesse treatment can last for up to two years. The procedure is relatively quick and easy, and there is typically very little downtime.

Over the last few years, we have increasingly been using Radiesse in a new way- termed Hyperidulte Radiesse or Biostimulatory Filler.

Hyperdilute Radiesse is a diluted form of Radiesse that is used to stimulate collagen production and improve the appearance of the skin.
