Emsculpt NEO
Using both High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy and Radiofrequency (RF) energy, Emsculpt NEO improves body contouring by inducing muscle contractions and reducing fat. The HIFEM energy causes strong muscle contraction in the areas being treated, at a higher intensity than can be achieved during intense weightlifting or other resistance training performed on one’s own. The RF energy heats underlying fat cells in the areas treated, allowing stored fat to shrink and be released from these cells, thereby reducing the volume of fat in those areas.
The combination of HIFEM and RF energies in Emsculpt NEO produces more strong and toned muscles, as well as improved contouring with the reduction of fat, in the areas treated.

Emsculpt NEO Treatments For Specific Body Areas
Abdomen
To treat the abdomen. the Emsculpt NEO device is applied to the area and the combination of HIFEM and RF energies work, as described above, to both strengthen the core and reduce fat in the area. The abdominal muscles contract and relax with the pulses of HIFEM energy, while the RF energy heats the area to target and shrink the underlying fat cells. The results are a more toned and defined abdomen, with an increased muscle mass and strength, and a reduced fat volume in the core.
Thighs
Capable of treating all 4 sides of the thighs, anterior, posterior, inner, and outer thighs, Emsculpt NEO is ideal for achieving the body contouring results each individual specifically desires. For patients desiring both increased muscle toning and strength, as well as fat reduction, both the HIFEM and RF energies are combined in each treatment. For patients whose goal is to just build muscle without eliminating fat, the device can be set for treatment using just the HIFEM energy. The increase in muscle resulting from treatment with Emsculpt NEO provides a great boost in strength for those who work out regularly, as well as a muscle mass boost that would take months to years to achieve from working out on one’s own.
Buttocks
With Emsculpt NEO, the gluteus maximus muscle, the largest of the buttock muscles, undergoes strong muscle contractions as the device delivers High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to the area. These strong contractions are both stronger and more intense than the contractions possible by exercise, weight lifting, or any resistance training a person participates in during traditional exercise. The results of the Emsculpt NEO contractions are higher strength with more muscle mass, as well as a more toned, defined, and lifted buttock. Emsculpt NEO is also a treatment option for “Ozempic Butt”.
It is important to note that there is no risk of unnatural or uneven results with Emsculpt NEO, as there are with injectables. Injectables carry the risk of appearing unnatural and do not provide the increased muscle mass that results in both a stronger and completely natural-looking lifted and defined buttock.
Arms
FDA-cleared for use on the upper arms, Emsculpt NEO can be used to increase muscle mass, and/or decrease fat on the biceps and triceps. The HIFEM energy will induce strong muscle contractions, impossible to achieve on one’s own through regular exercise and weight lifting. These intense contractions lead to higher muscle mass and stronger biceps and triceps. Since Emsculplt NEO combines the two energies, HIFEM and RF, individualized results can be produced by using both, or one, of these energies. For those looking to solely gain muscle and bulk up, the RF energy feature can be turned off, leaving only HIFEM energy to increase muscle mass. For those looking to increase muscle, decrease fat, and tone the area, both the HIFEM and RF technologies are used.
Calves
In the typical 4-session treatment (each performed one week apart), Emsculpt NEO can strengthen, define, and tone the legs (calves). This area is known to be a difficult place to target in regular traditional strength and toning exercises, but Emsculpt NEO’s HIFEM energy technology can specifically target the calves to build and tone muscle in this area.
Flanks
Many patients request to contour the area of the flanks, also known as love handles. Our office is thrilled that this is the newest area to become FDA approved for treatment with Emsculpt NEO. Until recently, other devices have been used to treat this area when requested, but with the most effective contouring device available, we are so excited to be able to offer Emsculpt NEO to our patients for the contouring of the love handles.
